Some history…
The group of franchisees, currently led by Samuel and Jean-Sébastien Benny, hails from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in Montérégie. It was in this city that their father, Pascal, along with his brothers, Jean-François and Raymond, and with the assistance of their father Mario Benny, co-founder of the family business, opened their first rotisserie in 1977. Their sister, Angèle Benny, later joined the team to support the administrative tasks of the company. The restaurant has since undergone several expansions and relocations, reflecting its success.
Family values are at the heart of the business, as evidenced by the involvement of Samuel and Jean-Sébastien, members of the third generation. During their studies, they gained hands-on experience by working in various kitchen and administrative roles at Benny&Co. restaurants, including the location in St-Luc. In 2011, Samuel and Jean-Sébastien became franchisees alongside their father and, in 2013, took ownership of the group.
Since then, Samuel and Jean-Sébastien have acquired additional restaurants in the region, including the Granby location in 2013 and the Ange-Gardien location in 2015. Their growth continued with the opening of new establishments in Chambly, Saint-Basile, and Saint-Hyacinthe, followed by the most recent opening, in Beloeil.
The continuation of this tradition looks promising, as both Samuel and Jean-Sébastien each have four children. Family values and commitment will remain at the heart of the company’s identity.
