Since December 2022, 4 rotisseries have opened in 3 regions of Quebec.
Benny&Co. opened its 75th restaurant in Jonquière on December 12, 2022, its 2nd in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. Following a warm welcome in Chicoutimi at the end of 2021, co-franchisees Michel Grenier and Mélanie Durocher, who have been with Benny&Co. for over 25 years, were more than ready to open their second rotisserie at 3718, boulevard Harvey. The 4,250 sq. ft. restaurant can accommodate 91 customers and has created over 30 new jobs in the region.
Just over a month after opening in Jonquière, the chain’s 76th restaurant opened in Rosemère, at 194, boulevard Labelle. This is the 11th restaurant in the Laurentians, and the 25th for Jean Benny and his children. “It’s a great source of pride to be able to work with my children. The exceptional contribution of our new generation to the company allows us to be at the forefront and pursue our growth plan,” said Jean Benny, President and CEO of Benny&Co.
March 6, 2023 saw the opening of Benny&Co. in Chateauguay, the chain’s 77th rotisserie. The restaurant at 99, boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste is the 18th in the Montérégie region and the 4th in the group owned by Josée Benny, her son Anthony St-Jean and long-time partner Vincent Marcotte. “We’re very proud to be expanding in the beautiful Montérégie region. Benny&Co. has been a family affair for over 60 years, and our excellent customer service and the high quality of our local products have kept it that way,” said Josée Benny. The 3,800 sq. ft. restaurant can accommodate 88 customers in the dining room and a further 14 on the terrace.
Co-franchisees Yves, Vincent, Olivier and Thomas Benny inaugurated Benny&Co. in Trois-Rivières on April 17th. This first restaurant in the Mauricie region, located at 4405, boulevard Gene-H.-Kruger, seats 70 in the dining room and an additional 12 outside. The opening also enabled the hiring of 30 local employees.
After a few months’ wait, Benny&Co. in Mont-Laurier, located at 320, boul. Albiny-Paquette, opened on May 1st! Having been part of the family business for 14 years, and already a franchisee of Benny&Co. in Mont-Tremblant, Alexandre Charette is now a franchisee of the chain’s 79th restaurant. “Mont-Laurier is a strategic location with an interesting population base, where the roads from Montreal, Abitibi and the Outaouais converge. We’ve been thinking about opening a new restaurant in this area since the start of the pandemic in 2019. In a context of labour shortage, I’d like to thank our new employees in the region who have answered the call. We’re all embarking on a new adventure together to introduce the Benny family specialty: excellent roast chicken, slow-cooked on a spit for three hours,” said Alexandre Charette, Benny&Co. franchisee in Mont-Laurier.
